My Journey

Growing up, makeup became a creative outlet for me, especially as I battled insecurities surrounding my crooked smile. I used eyeshadows to highlight my features, drawing attention to my eyes and away from my insecurities. But I faced a challenge: living in poverty, I couldn’t afford high-quality makeup. The affordable options I could buy lacked the quality I dreamed of. At 21, I finally got braces, and while my reasons for wearing makeup evolved, my passion for it grew even stronger. Makeup became more than just about looks—it became a way to calm my anxiety, boost my confidence, and fuel my creativity. From those early days to now, I’ve worked incredibly hard, going from living in poverty to graduating college with high honors and building a strong presence in the beauty community. With Mateo Beauty, I’m committed to offering premium eyeshadows, lip glosses, and single eyeshadow shades that deliver high-end results without the luxury price tag.
